Enjoy the 22nd Annual Art in the Park festival! This fine art extravaganza held each Labor Day weekend is presented by the Marietta Business Association and is proud to be a Southeast Tourism Society Top 20 Event for September.

The juried fine art show will spotlight 130 artists whose works include paintings, photography, pottery, graphics, sculptures, jewelry and much more. Artists representing 16 states will display and sell their wares in Glover Park. Back by popular demand is the Interactive Art Alley full of many wonderful and free make and take art stations.

The featured station is the Marietta Cityscape Project sponsored by Keep Marietta Beautiful. “With all the growth & development Marietta is experiencing, it is only fitting to feature Marietta 3D style,” says Joan Ellars, Director of Keep Marietta Beautiful. Everyone is invited to design their own piece of the town using boxes, paper towel rows, paper bags, paints & construction paper and other recyclable materials. Marietta landmarks will be featured along with local businesses and when complete could measure 10 ft X 40 ft.

Marietta Antique Street Festival

Browse more than 100 antique dealers from across Georgia and the Southeast, featuring collectors’ items, fine furniture and home décor, as well as glass, porcelains, linens and bottles. Voted “Best Antique Shopping” by Georgia Magazine readers and a Top 20 event by the Southeast Tourism Society, the festival will also include a “Trash or Treasure” booth where you can have your heirloom appraised between 11 AM and 2 PM.

Stroll through the park, enjoy the local entertainment and gather information on other interesting and historic sites in Cobb County in the Heritage Area. The festival is sponsored by the Marietta Museum of History, and many of its members will be in authentic costumes. Plus enjoy the Hubcaps and History Car Show, 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. (weather permitting). Vote for your favorite car and with your “I voted sticker” tour the Marietta Museum of History free of charge.

Disney’s Beauty & The Beast
